Tami Brennan was born and raised in Colorado and lived in the Denver area, as well as the small mountain towns of Telluride and Pagosa Springs when she was young. Tami was the first in her family to attend college and graduated with Honors from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration concentrating in Accounting. She began her career in the Tax Department of KPMG International in San Francisco when it was one of the “Big Six” accounting firms in the country. Tami was part of the Trust & Estate and High Technology Departments while at KPMG, and KPMG provided the training and experience required for her to obtain her CPA license in 1994.
After KPMG, Tami worked in small to mid-size CPA firms, and then purchased and further developed her own client base. Tami now has over 30 years of extensive experience in tax planning and compliance for a wide variety of individual and business clients.
Tami’s business clients range from small, start-up to large, multi-state businesses in a variety of industries including real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, high technology, and professional services. She specializes in working with closely held companies and their owners, flow-through entities, and high net worth individuals.
Tami has lived in Carlsbad since 1999, is married, and has two daughters. Both of her daughters love music and participated in band from elementary age, were members of the Carlsbad High School Marching Band, and went on to be in marching band in college. Tami loves music as well and enjoys attending concerts and musicals with her family whenever possible. She also still loves the mountains and enjoys traveling, camping, and hiking.
